Annie Balgobin, Spiritual Networking

WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to showcase Annie Balgobin as our Featured Business celebrated in Pickering Chapter this August. This amazing female entrepreneur has the following to share:

Hello, I am a wife and momma of two grown boys. About three years ago, a spiritual awakening started happening to me. It was around the same time my husband had some health challenges. Healing abilities started to rise to the surface. I wanted to do more and be more. I knew deep down that there were so much more to healing than what meets the eye. I had a vision of me using my hands to do healing work and thought that it to be a massage therapist. At the time, did not know about Reiki. I also had another vision where I was doing spiritual readings for others, but did I did not believe it. This spiritual awakening led me to the work that I do now. I am an energy healer. I channel energy from a higher power for others to heal themselves. I feel this work has chosen me as it was a call from above.

I am Reiki Practitioner, Angel Tarot Card Reader and Elemental Space Clearing Practitioner. I work out of my home based in Pickering. I am truly doing what I love and what is close to my heart. My experiences of receiving Reiki Healing has been profound. I am also seeing how it is shifting my clients.

Consider Reiki

· If you’re feeling a bit disconnected

· If life feels overwhelming for you

· If you’re feeling anxious

· If you’re feeling dis-empowered

· If you’re seeking to enhance your spiritual path

Reiki is a holistic healing modality. Universal Life Force Energy is within all of us and it’s why we breathe, it’s why the blood runs through our vein, it’s why we have thoughts.

Jennifer Schofield, Health & Wellness

When I used to think of the word “entrepreneur”, I was convinced that word would never apply to me. After graduating university with a BA in Psychology (Mount Allison University…go Mounties go!), I knew I wanted to work in an industry where I could help people. As we naturally do, I searched for a career (aka “job”) that I felt could offer me exactly that. Further training in healthcare led to some incredible positions including one where I was the Program Director for a Training School, my dream job or so I felt. Healthcare is a difficult industry and with the many cuts over the year, my school fell victim to these cutbacks. My dream job was no longer. I needed something else, but had no idea where to turn.

As a busy mom of two young girls, who are competitive dancers, and working full-time in healthcare, I could not even imagine adding another thing to my already full schedule. Advancement in my current role was no longer an option unless I was willing to go back to school; something that was not a possibility. With the lack of time, I certainly was not willing to invest thousands of dollars without a guarantee, let alone a possibility for advancement. We certainly know, as women, how busy our days can be!

Then I was introduced to Arbonne. Initially as a client, I enjoyed purchasing products that I knew I could use on my growing children and feel safe with Arbonne’s premium ingredients. Arbonne offers ultra-premium skincare, nutrition and cosmetic products for all ages, that are botanically-based, vegan and gluten-free. With a commitment to never testing on animals, Arbonne’s motto is “pure, safe and beneficial” and this tied in with exactly what I wanted. I was looking for products that were safe (did not use harmful or even worse, dangerous ingredients), beneficial (effective products that create incredible results) and with a green commitment throughout the company that is certainly admirable. Loving the products, I was happy being only a client. That was the role where I was comfortable.

I love my job in healthcare but was tired…..tired of the long hours, commuting three hours a day and limited vacation. So when I was shown the business model, initially I was skeptical. I thought this business was perfect for those individuals with sales experience, of which I had none. Listening to the business presentation I realized that if I did not change something, nothing in my life would change. This was the opportunity I was searching for.

Arbonne’s business model is incredibly fair, equitable and attractive. The thought of being able to advance based on my work ethic, was extremely appealing. Social marketing is a business model that is oft misunderstood, however, once I did my research, I understood that with a generous compensation plan like Arbonne’s, and a healthy environment of supportive individuals, I could become a success. The best part of this plan is that success comes from mentoring others and help them build their own business; it was no longer strictly about sales. I never thought I would become involved with a Network Marketing Company. With a career spent in healthcare and most of my connections remain where I grew up on the East Coast, I did not believe I had the connections to build a solid business here in Ontario. However, once I educated myself on the benefits and possibilities associated with social marketing, I realized that this opportunity was exactly what I had been searching for.

My journey in this business has just begun, but the opportunities afforded to date have been incredible. I have the ability to share ultra-premium products with amazing clients that I have the opportunity to meet on a daily basis. I also have the opportunity to share the business with the others and help them grow into successful entrepreneurs themselves.

Teaching is my passion and my Arbonne business allows me to do this once again.

Arbonne is expanding globally, operating currently in Canada, US, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Taiwan and launching in Germany in 2018. With the use of technology, we are able to build an international business right from our kitchen tables! As my daughter said to me, “you are small town girl trying to build a global business”!

My journey began with a leap of faith and continues daily as I share my passion for this business and help others work towards fulfilling their dreams through this extraordinary vehicle called Arbonne.

This month, Arbonne is offering 25% off our Clear Future products. Clear Future acne products were developed for people ages 12 and older as a complete system to help keep skin clear, and reduce and help prevent acne pimples. Daily, consistent use as a regimen is clinically tested to deliver faster results. For more information on the incredible line of products that Arbonne offers or how to begin your own entrepreneurial journey, please contact me via email at jennschofield@outlook.com , cell number 905-510-4870 or visit my website www.jenniferschofield.arbonne.ca.

Pat Saunoris, The LIVE Program: 180self

Pat Saunoris is a Registered Nurse, wife, mom to two beautiful daughters and a female entrepreneur. She has owned a nursing agency in the 1980s that provided palliative care for clients in their homes and also a Rehabilitation Consulting firm providing case management services to clients who were injured in car accidents.

Most recently her new business venture is 180 self!! This company was designed to assist women to make a lifestyle change towards being healthier and happier!

After owning a successful rehabilitation company for 14 years, Pat now works part-time as a medical consultant with a prominent law firm in Toronto. She is still assisting clients to recover from their injuries sustained in accidents. Pat is dedicated to helping people be the best they can be after a trauma.

When Pat sold her rehabilitation business in 2012 she was exhausted, completely worn out AND had an extra 30 pounds of weight that had creeped on over the years. Menopause, quitting smoking, sporadic eating habits and not enough exercise – and there it was!

Pat made herself a goal to get back to her running which had virtually been non-existent in the past 28 years and to run another marathon in two years time. She started at the beginning again with running , healthier eating and getting proper sleep. Two years later in 2014 she ran the Chicago Marathon (42.1 km) with her family cheering her on!

Pat spoke with a lot of women who wanted to know how she was able to turn her life style around and feel andlook better. This lead to Pat life coaching a few women to change their lifestyle – she believes in slow and steady is the best way to go – Women are all busy and a lifestyle changing program needed to fit into their busy lives and it had to work!

And it does!

At that point, Pat’s friend Val, who was seeing positive results, told her she should tell all women about this Lifestyle Program. So Pat developed 180self and an on line program called LIVE Program!

The LIVE Program is a guide to help women get started – nutrition tips, strategies to healthier eating – a walking program twice per week and a 10 minute weight program once a week that targets areas most women have problems with!

The LIVE program is offered at a nominal one time fee. Pats goal is to have as many women as possible begin a life style change that will result in improved health, weightloss and a feeling of Confidence and Empowerment!

Pat would like to see women stop the vicious 360 circle of diets, gym memberships and home equipment that never gets used. She would like women to turn in a new direction at 180 – and start a life style change they can do themselves!

Independence: This is what 180self is all about!

IT STARTS NOW for Only $29.99 +tx Lifetime Fee

Website: 180self.com
Facebook Private Discussion Group is Available for those that are Registered.

Pat can be reached at: info@180self.com

Women are always taking care of everyone – and often are last on the priority list.

Change that with the LIVE Program at 180 self!

Jane Cotnam, Insurance for Children

WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to showcase this amazing female entrepreneur, who found that through having her own business, has made it been able to create her own schedule and take time off at her choice, Jane Cotnam.

I am a strong woman.

I am a feminist.

I am a mother.

I am an entrepreneur.

I am a perpetual optimist.

I am a dreamer.

I am a volunteer.

I choose to believe the best in everyone.

I have strong beliefs that I am passionate about.

I love a good debate.

Working for myself never seemed to be a big goal when I was younger. I followed the flow; school, job, got my first apartment and started living. The only problem was that I wasn’t happy, but I didn’t know it! I moved from Montreal to Toronto, joined my father’s business and saw what it was like to work for myself. I knew I had found what I wanted to do.

Starting a career in insurance , I immediately gravitated to the group benefits side of the business, and I enjoy it still. In ’84 I assisted in developing the Canadian Organization of Small Businesses, an association plan that allowed small businesses to have group benefits that had previously been unattainable. This later morphed in what is now known as a ‘Chamber of Commerce’ plan. I also put together the first online billing system for group benefits. I am proud of being a dedicated independent group benefit plan broker and advisor, and I specialize in groups that are hard to acquire benefits for.

I got involved with Insurance for Children when I went to a seminar introducing the “fastest growing alternative to the RESP”. When you are a licensed insurance broker, you have to do 30 hours of continuing education every two years, in order to maintain your license. This way, I stay educated on new products as well as rules and regulations from both CRA and our governing board, Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

Insurance for Children took on a whole new meaning for me. It is a product that has been around for 150 years, and the insurance company, Equitable, has been in business for 100 years.

I realized very quickly, how this could help so many parents. It has become personal. I have a daughter who is fighting for her health. She has had to quit her job, which she loved, as she is no longer able to work while on the meds she is on. Had I had this in place for her, I could very easily have presented her with an alternate means of financing herself. She has had to move home, and though I am happy she has, I’m quite sure she would have preferred not to!!

I am a firm believer in giving back. Through my own business, and the fact that I have been able to create my own schedule and take time off, I have volunteered with organizations that touch my heart and mean much to me. I am a hearing-impaired member of CHS (Canadian Hearing Society) and had the privilege of teaching ASL (American Sign Language) to kindergarten children in a play environment. I am still a member of the CHS Board. I was also involved in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer Canada (following my mom’s passing) and that lead me to being a Palliative Care Liaison Volunteer running workshops at Credit Valley Hospital. I have also volunteered with my children’s schools as a fundraising chair. This coming September, I will have the honour and privilege of volunteering at the Invictus Games.

Being an entrepreneur has allowed me to be available for all the big events in my family’s life. With four kids and four dogs, life is always busy, bordering on hectic. I wouldn’t change any of it!

“Nevertheless, she persisted.”

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things.

Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.

How Does Reiki Heal?

When our chakras are unbalanced we begin to feel run down, tired, irritable and often experience pain and other health problems. Reiki is a wonderful healing tool and a great complement to conventional medicine, Chinese Medicine, homeopathy and any other form of healing.

Reiki Energy heals by flowing from the practitioners hands, through the affected parts of the individual or animals energy field, channelling it with positive energy and putting your body into a relaxed state. The healing energy raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to unblock and disperse. The Reiki healing energy clears and strengthens the energy pathways and chakras therefore allowing the inner life force to flow in a healthy and natural way. Reiki treatments help ease tension, stress, and helps support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional.

In simpler terms a Reiki treatment involves lying on a massage table, fully clothed, listening to music, where at some point you may very well fall asleep as the healing energy is being channelled to you. A Reiki treatment is very relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness, and helps to flush out any toxins and find peace, balance and harmony.

Claudia Mariano, Nurse Practitioner – Skin Care

WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to showcase this caring nurse practitioner who has taken the leap into the life as a female entrepreneur as our Featured Business May 2017 at our Pickering Chapter: Claudia Mariano

My biggest challenge in starting my business was my own mindset. While I believed in the company, the products, and the integrity of the business model, I had to be very honest with myself about what believed about myself, my relationship with money, and how I want others to see me.

Embracing the vision I have for myself, and understanding the power of my own beliefs, have been the greatest achievements,

and I can’t wait to share them with others so they can live their best lives!

I work full-time as a Nurse Practitioner in Pickering, and am also an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto Faculty of Nursing. Two years ago I wrote and edited a book about Nurse Practitioners.

In Oct 2015 I tried the Rodan+Fields skin care products, and was so impressed that three weeks later I became CEO of my own business and partnered with the doctors to share the results and the opportunity with others.

I was not looking for anything else to do, but I could not pass up the opportunity to become involved with a company that is revolutionizing how we think about business, how we live our lives, and how we treat the largest organ in our bodies, our skin.

I am proud to represent Rodan + Fields Dermatologists. These uniquely effective skincare products are designed by two of the most respected dermatologists in the country with a legacy of delivering on what they promise. I believe that using Rodan + Fields is as close as you can get to visiting a dermatologist without an appointment.

Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields have also taught me that achieving great skin requires more than great products. While you are here make sure to check out the tips from the Doctors, experience our exclusive Solution Tool and read up on the Doctors’ seasonal skin-care recommendations.

Rodan and Fields can truly transform your skin. I have personally witnessed the difference these products have made on people’s skin and in their lives. Along with Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields I am committed to exceeding your expectations and always here to help.

Our team has grown since I first stated my business, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to help people gain confidence and live life on their terms.

Juvs Pabilonia, Entrepreneur Extraodinaire!

WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to Showcase this female entrepreneur extraordinaire as our Mystery Speaker for Toronto Chapter this May 2017. This powerhouse energized all in the room with her Amazing Journey!

Everyone has a story to share and I believe that mine is something worth sharing with everyone. My goal in life is to inspire others to believe in and do more for themselves … and trust in new beginnings!

I moved to Canada over 20 years ago. I’m a nurse by profession and was involved in teaching fitness class for seniors for over 2 years. I have 2 amazing daughters, Casey is now 19 years old. My youngest Maryam is 6 years old.

In 2005 , I had a pinch nerve on my neck that gave a clot in my head and caused vertebral dissection (TIA) this terrible thing left me with bad migraine headaches I carried on for over 10 years and caused me to gain weight.

“I gained over 50 lbs and grew froma size 0 to a size 12 dress.”

“I was miserable but life went on for me.”

In the same year, I started working for BELL Canada and becomes one of their most successful Sales Representatives, Trainer and Coach. I was with BELL full time until November 2014.

In 2012, while still employed with BELL, I opened up my very own home staging company.

It gave me a lot of new confidence in building a real estate business and developing relationships.

I can say that both in business and my corporate work, I did very well. I was satisfied.. however, I found myself wishing I had more time to focus on things I enjoy like travel and spending more time with my kids.

“My resources were good but I had no time to really enjoy the life I always envisioned to have.”

In March 2014, an old friend asked me to try her weight loss coffee.

“I was not expecting that day would have changed my life forever…”

I did go to her place for samples not knowing anything about network marketing. I did sign up to get the discounts. The entire purpose of me joining is to lose weight and get discounts on the products only at that time. After nearly 14 days of drinking the coffee, I started seeing amazing results and people started asking me what I was doing, as weight loss was already being noticed.

From that moment, I shared my website with everyone who asked and started getting a lots of attention. It took me 6 months to finally start learning about the business.

Turns out that the simplicity of this business called ‘network marketing’ is something that suits me and my personality. To make the long story short, I was able to partner with the top leaders in the company, and slowly started to appreciate not only the health benefits of the products, but the financial reward of this industry.

In less than 6 months, by just simply following the system, I was able to get rewarded with a brand new BMW.

My success attracted more people to join me!

I am so happy that I am able to inspire others to really work on achieving their goals. I am able to get the support from all my leaders, and achieved the opportunity to travel the world as I share the benefits of our products and the financial opportunity that comes with it. In the last 16 months, I have traveled across south east Asia, Europe and North America. I am now able to send my eldest daughter to the UK to study law and give my girls one of the best vacations ever!

Right now I’m making a 6 figure income and still growing non stop, not only in Canada but across the world .

My mother has been insulin free for over 2 years now because of the products. Thanks to this business, I have been able to change a lot of lives positively, inspire others to reach their full potential, make friends and secure my future. Today, working to grow my business has become very manageable; and I have more time now to do the things I love and spend time with my kids.

This industry of network marketing has truly changed my life.

My goal is to continue this journey to inspire others to change their lives positively, one cup at a time.

The Dollar Coffee Club (DCC) is Javita’s Preferred Customer program – offering its product line of healthy coffees, teas and other functional beverages for $1 a cup, dispelling the notion that products sold through network marketing need to be premium priced.

The DCC not only provides customers healthy, great-tasting, premium coffee for only a buck a cup, but Preferred Customers also receive FREE shipping and a Loyalty Rewards Program where they can earn FREE product.

The Dollar Coffee Club was created to provide our Members with the best possible business opportunity,” said Javita’s Founder Stan Cherelstein. “The DCC is unique and provides our Members a real competitive advantage. It has become clear that the internet has changed the buying habits of all consumers and therefore all companies must adapt. The ease of access to product information and pricing has changed the game.”
