WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to showcase this female entrepreneur as our Featured Business this month at our Mississauga Chapter, KAREN KWAN ANDERSON.
Karen was born in England and emigrated to Canada when she was a toddler. She grew up in
Toronto and Mississauga and graduated from the University of Toronto (Erindale College) with
a BA in Sociology, Industrial Relations and Professional Writing. She graduated from the
Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001.
After 3 years of personal injury practice, in 2004 she found her true calling in immigration law
with a focus on litigation. This is her 13th year in citizenship and immigration law practice.
Karen understands the challenges of individuals and families who face increasingly complex
processes and requirements to achieve their goals in Canada. Her mission is to reunite families
in Canada, prevent deportation, and fearlessly advocate in the best interests of clients. No
immigration legal issue is too big or too small.
Karen is an advocate who helps individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, beliefs and
abilities to seek opportunities in Canada. She takes her job seriously because the work she does
affects present clients and future generations.
Respectful, responsible and results-driven: that’s Karen’s practice philosophy.
