WEWednesdays! Women Empowering Women is elated to showcase this truly phenomenal female entrepreneur, Marxe Urteaga and thank her for inspiring and motivating our WEWomen as our Mystery Speaker at our Toronto Chapter this month.
Marcela Urteaga is an Organizational Consultant passionate about learning and change. She holds a BA in Human Relations (Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico) and an MA in Human Systems Intervention (Concordia University, Canada), as well as certificates in Organizational Development, Coaching, Leadership, and Sustainable Happiness.
Marcela has also 20 years of corporate experience in Organizational Development, Training, Change Management and Human Resources, in large multinational companies such as Monster, Panasonic, and FEMSA, the largest beverage company of the Americas; and currently works in Change Management for York University, one of the largest universities in Canada. But there are always some dark secrets behind any story: Marcela was banned from a religious group after an incident that involved a rosary and balloons, and some years later, frowned upon during a meeting with senior executives after she showed up with a book called: “Sacred cows make the best burgers”.
Since 1994, Marcela has been facilitating workshops and group sessions (live and online) in Mexico, U.S.A., and Canada, helping individuals, communities and corporations develop their competencies and access their inner wisdom. In 2006, Marcela started her coaching practice with employees and executives at Panasonic, and in 2010, when her masters program demanded that she started working with clients, Marcela added consulting and training to her practice; she also got justification for her obsession with Post-it notes. In 2012, she founded IMIXcoCREATION with Hector, her husband, to help organizations address different challenges, through artfully designed interventions that make sense. IMIXcoCREATION now offers facilitation, coaching, learning sessions and consultation to companies and organizations.
